I’ve always wondered how many of the people in those groups are genuinely trying to give advice, vs. those in there just trying to fuck with them. It’s so hard to tell with how much absurd shit is on there.
I would say 95% of them are serious.

Yep. Reminds me of “sea lawyers” back when I was in the Navy. Those dudes always either misquoted regulations or wildly missed the context to which a regulation is applied, or both.
