3·7 months agoAh, thanks. I knew I’ve seen this kind of error somewhere before. Still interested in what a “daylight” variable would do for the code of an info display

Sure, real dbzero
Well yes, but actually no
I’d argue that the display does what it’s supposed to do, but the computer providing the display signal is supposed to render something else.
I mean - it’s still not displaying what it’s supposed to either.

Dad Jokes@lemmy.world•Can you please relabel "Subscribe" to "Succumb" for this community?English
3·9 months agoThe problem is that the “subscribe” button is handled by the front end. And since there are so many different frontends / clients in use for Lemmy, there’s no way to change it for everyone. Even the normal web interface is different for each instance.
Lemmy sadly, afaik doesn’t offer the option to set a custom label variable per community for the clients to use.
The only option I see is for an instance to edit the web interface code to relabel the button for this community. But that has to be done through an instance and only works for users of the web interface of that single instance.
TLDR: Technically possible, but will probably not happen.

retrocomputing@lemmy.sdf.org•Commodore shocks retro TechTuber with option to buy 'the whole company'
10·9 months agoIf this actually goes through, I think this could be a great thing. I’ve been watching retro recipes for a while, and I think Perifractic knows what he’s doing.
I think a start would be to tell us which version of which distro you are using. Also, are you talking about LAN or WIFI?
Was wondering the same, and I’m unsure if i should take it down, since it’s so popular. I guess it does kinda really far fetched fit the vibe??

All that, and whoever made this still couldn’t be bother finding a picture of RAM???
