I run several communities on discord with hundreds of people in them. I can’t just leave.

I want to leave. but I can’t force people to move to a new app just for one community.

its a complicated issue for those that use it for communities. we are working on trying to move off.

because we’re in an era where iPad kids have grown up and now they’re all on a binge to either use old tech or get rid of it completely (dumb phones, etc)

I run totk exclusively on my steam deck (I liked the fact that load times were faster on steam deck than original switch)

you will need to find a stable version of yuzu that will work on it and you should be able to get about 30fps fairly consistently with performance mods. (there is a totk optimizer you can run that has a steam deck setting built in. very convenient)

bg3 I highly recommend trying to get the native steam deck version for it. cause it runs much better.

I use microsd cards to move files around. so if you have those I recommend them.

don’t feel badly. there are quite a few accounts on lemmy that seem to exist just to pop into threads and scream “ai slop” and have that be their entire personality.

lol. every day I’m thankful I never did any music streaming and opted for a music library instead.

my music library has changed a lot over the years, but I’ve never needed to pay a sub or stream my own music. its just there on my local devices.

highly recommend people start and maintain a library in the same way. (also makes it easier to keep your flacs organized if you’re a sound nerd.)
