Lol don’t feel bad, I can do advanced crazy shit with Linux like pivoting the running OS into RAM so I can unmount the boot drive to do whatever without ever rebooting
But I still [Web Search] commands a shit ton of the time LMAO
Nah, airlines have their planes in a complex web of routes all dependent on each other, that plane would fly regardless because after it gets (if it got there heh) to the next airport it would also prob have a route from that airport to another
Squid guy could be a black market book seller lmao
Metal won’t work because wireless charging is expected for most phones
It’s not an impossible problem to solve, Qi just doesn’t care. Qualcomm solved it with their wireless charging standard 10 years ago
Leaves glass and plastic, which are both found on premium phones.
I don’t think I’ve seen a “premium” phone with a plastic back in a LONG time
it feels and looks nicer than plastic and doesn’t scratch as easily
There’s a wide range of plastics, it gets a bad rap because of the cheap shit that’s often used, but there’s absolutely a “high end” plastic side of the scale that can beat glass and not nearly as fragile
Taking into account manufacturers somehow decided that glass, a very fragile material ESPECIALLY when thin, should be the ✨premium✨ material and all decent phones NEED to be wrapped in it…
Maybe there’s some truth to that lmao
No, but that’s just criticism or condemnation of specific actions taken by a certain military, which should always be done.
But condemning a country just for having a military is what’s silly
While its true in an ideal world there would be no militaries and no war
Unfortunately, we do not live in that world, any country that doesn’t have a, or is under the protection of another’s, military will be taken advantage of sooner or later.
There are many hostile countries in this world

13·9 months agoIf it’s high density with the option of single family housing integrated, I’m fine with that. I just hate apartments

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Good public transit > self driving carsEnglish
22·9 months agoMy issue is more on the “apartment building” aspects. Apartments suck, sharing walls/floors/ceiling with others sucks. Lots of apartments means lots of opportunity for just one apartment to get infested with something that will quickly spread to others even if they do nothing to attract said pests (e.g. keeping a really clean place)
Or just one dumbass flooding the place or a fire breaks out
Apartments also means constantly having to worry about being too loud or dealing with others who don’t care
If there’s a version of high density that also allows for Single Family Housing for those who want it, id be cool with that

45·9 months agoI’d be with ya except for one tiny issue, living in high density housing sucks ass
Could we/should we condense suburbia down? Absolutely. Should we get rid of it entirely in favor of high density? Fuck no

692·9 months agoThe problem isn’t what the content was, the problem is letting a payment processor dictate what is and is not acceptable even when legal
Today it’s “rape content” tomorrow, it’s vanilla porn, then the day after it’s LGBTQ+ affirmative content
