The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-65400, received a patch from Apple last week for macOS Tahoe, Sequoia, and Sonoma.

It’s even worse than the response. I’m struggling to find an elegant analogy, but suffice to say that many of us that use it every day would be totally fine going back to doing it the old way. And the environmental impact! And cognitive impact! Yeah, it would be a change, but it’s nothing like meth. (Not that I’ve ever done meth, but I’ve known addicts.)

Posting a timelapse of him creating the art is a great way to prove it’s human created. I think this kind of social proof is going to pay dividends for future artists.

I’m willing to be most people know somebody that is in that list, and most people don’t know somebody who uses linux. That being said, I bet linux usage is not as outward expressing as a lot of those things. Like, you can tell people own cats because you see them on the porch or in the window, but you can’t glance at most linux users’ houses and know that somebody there uses linux.

As an American, or somebody with a US green card, the process is that you drive up to the border crossing and wait in a line of cars. When it’s your turn at the booth you give them a stack of passports and green cards, let them visually identify everybody in the vehicle, answer some questions, and then they give your documents back and waive you through. It’s basically the same as the immigration process at the airport, except you stay in your vehicle.

Then of course there’s a separate toll booth for your tunnel or bridge.

On the Canadian side of Ambassador Bridge, you get dropped onto a stroad with stop lights. You can see this in satellite photos of it. The new bridge does not do that, and drops you directly onto a freeway.

Personally, I prefer the tunnel.

Big time agree. I still have 3 N3DS XL’s, a PSP (all jailbroken), and an Anbernic. I never take my Steam Deck or any of my Switches with me, but sometimes I just throw a 3DS in my pocket. Sucks that there are no more streetpass relays, but somebody at the japanese market near me keeps their 3DS at the register, and I like to think there’s a subculture of people like me who bring their 3DS’s to streetpass each other there.

Are you saying there are banking sites where you have problems logging in using a web browser? Because using a web browser is what I am suggesting.

Most banking (and many other) apps could be a website, and most (all?) banks have websites, so a linux phone could be compatible with most banks the same way a desktop OS is compatible with most banks.

But I agree that we’re several years out from Linux phones becoming anything more than a novelty. It’s still a good path to take. We really need a magic rectangle that is not locked down in any way.

Maybe 2026 can be Year of the Linux Phone.
