bike wrench@lemmy.world•How do you get your shifters to sync properly?
1·4 months agoHere’s visual aid on the difference between high-end derailleurs and low-end ones. One can get pretty decent shifting out of the cheap one but not the 99.9% reliable shifting that stays reliable for years without adjustment that you get from a better made drivetrain.
With that said, some parts have more effect than others. With any level of Shimano, running decent quality (Shimano, Jagwire) uninterrupted housing from the shifter to the derailleur eliminates problems on the frame. That along with an aligned derailleur hanger would produce pretty good shifting.

No kidding. This didn’t ruin me but it was painful. And on top of that, it’s smaller disks for significantly more than I did last year.
I bought them for years ahead. My primary pool is gonna start having drives fail from age and use, and it’ll need replacements. So I’m gonna be sticking these in as they fail over time so I use all the service life I can get from the existing (8TB) drives.

But basically search for “battery health assistance” and you should find it.

8·1 year agoGood call. Measured the flatness of the screen and back glass. Both are perfectly flat. If there’s any swelling going on, it hasn’t pressed against them yet.

5·1 year agoIt’s no more than 1.5 year-old. If you see its capacity at 90-92, then something’s wrong. If it’s over 95% it might be normal.

Android@lemmy.world•On Pixel 8 Pro, have you noticed a dip in battery capacity since July?English
4·1 year agoYeah but a drop like that isn’t nornal wear. And this battery is barely a 1.5 years old. A 5% dip in the span of a few weeks is either a defect or something else. If it’s a software “adjustment,” it should show up on other Pixel 8 Pro capacity estimates too. Given most are less than 1.5 year-old, most should have over 95% capacity left.

3·1 year agoAwesome. Let me know what your battery capacity looks like when you had a few charge sessions.
Actually I prefer the larger size of the Pixel. I don’t know if I’m jist used to it or it’s my hands but I’ve tended to like bigger phones. I always type double-handed.
You’re probably looking at /e/OS on it. The standard OS launcher is the same as Pixel’s.
