Not just the high payed software folks, but the data centers are also maintained by highly skilled and hard working techs. And this technology is only possible with constant pristine maintenance if the servers to train their models. They loathe these people just as much and can’t wait to get humans out of the process
What’s crazy is how fragile their ai ecosystem is. The tech requires insane scaling in the form of data centers. We’ve hit the Moore’s law limit, this tech isn’t getting better in and of itself, it just gets better by adding more tpus and servers.
It all goes down if the data centers go down
They want slavery because ai taking jobs makes no economic sense and breaks labor theory of value. No human production means nothing has value. We are literally already seeing this with ai slop!
The humane solution is we get a society where that philosophy major actually gets to be a philosopher in a mostly post scarcity automated communist society… But that would mean these ghouls wouldn’t be in power so now they’re trying to tell us we need to go backwards in time to feudalism.

It’s hard to overstate how true this statement is
Like of course racism is a huge issue in America and other European countries (not letting them off the hook here a lot of the anti woke commentary resides there) and that is where this comes from, but the outrage this game and others receive isn’t organic.
So much money, effort and planning goes into manufacturing outrage that I don’t believe you can feel strongly about these things and be “normal.” These people are consuming media from ecosystems that are made to keep them mad and to feed them propaganda. It is no different with maga and fake news or really any other ideology that requires people to fully buy in and accept a reality that doesn’t exist.
I find irony that they disregard expert opinions on the things they are experts for (climate scientists for example) but will accept an entire worldview of opinions based on someone being “smart” like the opinion of a software engineer has on philosophy or politics.
Reject the expert on the subject they’re an expert on because that makes them “elite” and they were trained to think that was bad, but accept an unfounded opinion of someone who may be smart in an unrelated field because the opinion is “different” so it must be “smart”
I think this is the trap all self assigned internet intellectuals fall into. They parrot opinions and vibes from echo chambers that discredit real science or real reporting and call it enlightenment. This in itself is stupid, but then even more stupid people are drawn in and suddenly we have a big club of geniuses
They want a crash to set up an economic reset to coincide with their government reset / dissolution. Do they want to set up corpo towns? Lower the value of everything and buy it up? Replace currency with crypto?
Could be all of the above, and I think they think they’re real clever about it but kinda just winging it and seeing where it takes them and doing it in the dumbest ways possible.
