I meant: Japanese people can just take the train when they’re too old to drive themselves, the coverage for passenger services isn’t bad.
In the USA even if you don’t want to drive anymore, if no one can drive you you have no other way to get around in most places… so many more people drive and will keep driving.
Japan has passenger trains.

Understand the sentiment. I only ride on the little reserved infrastructure there is or on quiet roads. Motor vehicles still use the cycle path anyway, bicycle jousting seems like a solution when you get passed by an idiot on an electric scooter going 80 kph on a narrow path.
Are you sure? French social security makes any responsible third party pay for everything, and insurance doesn’t usually cover crimes.
This many years later I think the damage from publishing unredacted complete leaks is way better than letting journalists or governments handle transparency.
Depends on the press, horizontal press is so easy I can do more than three times my own weight… on a different machine with free weights where you have to push upwards I top up at a bit less than twice my weight.
They also scam the other side: I booked a rental car through them, the rental place wouldn’t honor my reservation, they made me call dozens of times, hung up on me every time. Their booking system for car rentals is a scam, you get your money back eventually but you still have to pay 2× or 3× the price to get a car on the day because they don’t care at all about honouring reservations.
I’d have had to sue them in the UK and if I had fuck you money or better legal insurance I would have.

Car rental places are scummy enough without an even worse middleman. They can’t pretend they can’t honour reservations where I live: if they have anything better than what you booked they have to give it you at no extra charge (so if you booked an Aygo and they only have S-Klasse left, you get the S-Klasse).

This was already in place 95% because any infraction with phone in hand already required licence suspension. Not enforced. Won’t be enforced: hundreds of thousands of people not being able to drive to work is not a risk the government wants to take, they don’t care about safety.
