In college, I did a minor in psychology along with my engineering major. One time I did a paper analyzing the research into the “Mozart Effect” where playing classical music for a baby or even a fetus supposedly makes them smarter and whatnot.
And wouldn’t you know it, that whole idea is just a case of the media and the public badly misinterpreting the research! Crazy, I know!
Iirc, the results of the actual research was that when they played classical music for adults, they had temporary small bump in their scores on whatever mental tests they gave them. Then it would fade away, being temporary and all. And that’s the entirety of what the research found.
