these systems work by putting the cold side inside the house and the hot side outside the house, between the two halves there are two pressure tubes that carry the refrigerant between them other than those tubes being long it works like any other evaporative condenser heat exchanger / air conditioner
I’m not exactly sure how it works but we have something similar at work where there are pipes going to the ac unit which I assume carry water that gets heated and replaced with cold water. I could be wrong though
Even whole house AC units don’t vent the hot air at the AC unit itself. It uses a unit on the outside of the house to vent the hot air that the heat is exchanged with a liquid cooling system. This is just a smaller version of that. The only ones that have heat coming directly out of it are window units.
Is that an AC unit? Where is it venting its hot air?

It’s a split unit. The radiator is outside.
