Should shadow banning be made illegal on reddit?

I feel that shadow banning is very unethical - by shadow banning I mean when your account is suspended but they don’t notify you, so you go on creating posts and comments as if nothing is amiss.

I feel that a platform that bans you should by law have to inform you you’ve been banned AND notify you the exact reason for the ban.

I got shadow banned on reddit and wasn’t even told what the reason for it is, hopefully same doesn’t happen on lemmy…
