Yet people claimed that “Reddit is somehow more private than Lemmy”

People really don’t give a shit about stuff like this. see: Amazon, Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp, Youtube still being popular just to name a few.
It’s frustrating but yeah it’s not surprising with how things are being set up. With how stress life is and how much people are struggling with money, at least most are, people will understandably take the free and convenient options that the vast majority of others also use and sacrifice this thing that it’s hard to have a concept of and also it seemingly not affecting their lives. That’s if they’re even really aware it’s happening in the first place.
(Not assuming your opinion by the way, just giving my thoughts)
Kinda what money is for. When all value is made fungible and turned into money, value that can’t easily be turned into money becomes difficult to comprehend, aligning values with those who have money-authority, including making things you can’t trade away seem pointless.
We don’t have anything to share at this time; however, we do see value in proof of human being a key part of online experiences, including social, and welcome all of the opportunities possible to discuss this technology with potential partners.
We do see value in proof of CashCow being a key part of online experiences, including social, and welcome all of the opportunities possible to discuss monetizing every aspect of the human existence.
Fixed it for ya
They always make it sound like it’s the best thing for humans, but on the other hand they actively push bot accounts… yea this is just more potent data mining
This is kinda wild. It sounds like he’s the AI.
This would only be valuable to users if you could filter out bot content, but the unfortunate thing is the human users are idiots and assholes, so that makes it less valuable.
