II’d like feedback (for those on Piefed) how they think the flair system should look - if they have any idea. I obviously broke it up into Streamers (Netflix, Apple, Disney etc) and with “Cancellation” and “Renewal” etc. Since I set that up, Rimu also bought in expanded views for tags (which duplicate their function, with the exception that I can’t change how people use hashtags - although I can control flairs). I don’t mind adding new flairs, but I don’t necessarily want it to get cluttered.

Not a Piefed user but I guess you could also add “Premiere”, “Finale”, maybe an “Episode Discussion” one, “Casting”, “Spoilers”. Just trying to think of categories of posts that I see on here now.
Casting is a cool one. Maybe Spoilers too.
“Episode Discussion” is fine in principle, but the community isn’t large enough imo where that would be necessary.
Personally, on !action_movies@piefed.social , how I’ve been doing it so far:
A few flairs for:
- post content types like Trailer, Review, Full Movie/Show, News, Meta etc.
Loads of (potentially infinite) tags for:
- finer details, e.g.

- movie categories, like #HongKongMovies, #SwordandSorcery
-
- people, like #JackieChan, #MichaelMadsen
But it’s still early days, not sure if that’s the best way to use them or if that kind of division is applicable elsewhere.
