During COVID these Late Night shows really took a moment to reflect and greatly improved as a result. If you watch before and after clips you can really see so much growth.

Trevor Noah grew the most and I think ultimately is what caused him to leave the Daily Show. I think an older Noah would have stayed, but the younger Noah wanted to go out into the world.

Seth Meyers has really fallen into his groove and kept things more casual. He definitely feels like he’s having more fun. I think similar to Conan where no one really has huge expectations for Late Night he’s been able to shape it how he wants.

And finally Colbert. I think Colbert has finally realized he has become what he’s always looked up to. It’s clear to me that he is becoming the Carson and Letterman that he always hoped he would be. I don’t think he expected it, I mean that would be impossible, they’re truly icons.

It’s a shame Colbert is being cancelled so early. It’s clear he’s only continuing to rise. CBS is going to be in a rough place a year from now.

Corrections with Seth Meyers might be one of the only good things to come out of covid. I don’t even watch any talk shows but the format he built with the youtube comment section of all things is amazing

I’m hooked on Corrections. A Closer Look and Corrections are my must watch. At first it just seemed like a weird little behind the scenes sketch. Now it’s like a secret VIP room show… that is also weird and behind the scenes.

I really am bummed that Desi Lydic won with Foxsplains over Corrections. I think Desi is excellent and I really enjoy Foxsplains, but it’s exactly what you expect it to be. It’s political satire. I’m a big fan of political satire. But Corrections… it’s celebrity baby teeth and weasel circuses for jackals.
