I don’t miss Trick or Treating, after moving out of a neighborhood that does it.
Competing with your neighbors for the best decorations so kids don’t pass by your house. Wondering if your candy bowl will get stolen if you can’t make it home in time for the new 4PM start time. Trying to figure out whether or not the kid asking for a treat didn’t wear a costume because they don’t give a shit or because they can’t afford to make one so you tell them “Fine, you can have one.” vs “Take ten.”
You are way over thinking it lol start when you get home, buy candy you want to eat, put up decorations you like, or dont and leave the light on, stop when you want. Its supposed to be fun, just do what you want.

Sorry to hear you don’t concern yourself with making sure local kids are having fun on Halloween.
