Obviously we know now that she was perfect in the role of Brienne. The main reason (for me, anyway) why film and tv largely suck now is because studios want the “safe” and “conventional” choice for every role. I’m also well over 6 feet tall, I want my tall queens well represented on the screen.
ETA: tall men don’t seem to have a problem getting roles. The stigma against tall women is just dumb to me.

That’s because tall men are considered conventionally attractive.
Maybe more men should be taller.
I know how that sounds, and that’s the same as saying more women should be “conventional looking”, whatever the fuck that means.
