In a certain way the second food bowl was his reward, now he didn’t need to do that weird ritual just to grab a snack. But yeah, that guy was brilliant. (The female was also brilliant, in her own ways. Such as refusing to get out of the way if you asked her rudely — no “shoo”, no “get out”, only “excuse me?” made her give way.)
