I hear people saying “Mozilla isn’t trying to push AI on users”, well here is an example of it.

So based on how you kinda dodged my statement, I presume you have very low standards for Mozilla since apparently the kindest words you have for it are “not Google or Microsoft”… I guess it you think that poorly of Mozilla, makes sense you wouldn’t hold them to any ethical standard

            Hello Everybody.
Maybe we should focus on what really matters in a browser instead of trying to cram in every fancy feature.
Firefox used to be a browser for professionals, and that was cool. That’s why others use it, too.
Unfortunately, only the privacy aspect has remained to some extent. That makes it all the more important to get back to those roots!
What is the CORE? And how can we focus on that?!?!

In a better world, the actual changes could be delegated to extensions. Unfortunately they don’t seem interested in that right now. “This could have been an extension” includes:

              • Half the AI stuff like the sidebars and right-click menus
              • The free VPN (you still need to disable it and install an extension if you use the paid one?!)
              • The Tab Notes feature, which actually has a better extension that already exists
