Someone is probably getting sued…
Now do acrobat but get it to fix all the shit UI decisions and random bugs.
Back in the day , sure, acrobat reader was the way to look at PDFs. These days there are both windows and linux alternatives that do great. Fuck macs
Not many of the alternatives can do effective markups. That said, neither can acrobat so there’s that. Also for some reason my company insists on only letting us use acrobat to do markups.
Google completely changed the game when they added pdf reading to Chrome imho
Also yeah… I used to sell Macs at a reseller… Fuck them indeed…
In fact, a week before bootcamp was released for Intel, we got Windows running another way on them. I made the mistake of showing a national sales manager here and told them what a great transition technology it would be… He went on a rant and basically called me an idiot (there were customers in the room), about why anyone would want to do that, etc.
A week later, bootcamp was released, and he was telling me what a great transition technology it would be… It was actually the experience that turned me AGAINST Apple. They never apologised either, and the sales manager managed acted so smug. Obviously, his speech sounded great because he had training from me first, and then clearly, by Apple the day before.
I was pro linux before that, but switched to mac heavily for a few years. Then I switched back for the M2 mac studio, but only because I got sick of windows…
Yeah, I won’t go back now lol. I actually retooled all of our work tools inhouse, so that i no longer need to for the dev work (and, I can run windows exclusively in a vm, with almost all of my work in linux now)
The only way to fix Acrobat is to send it to where Flash went. Into the bin
Prove to me that someone has no clue what “clean room” development actually means without my needing to read the article. Oh wait, you’re already done.
