Starting now, eligible people in the US can score a new Meta Quest 3 headset, a 24-month subscription to Meta Quest+, and Meta Warranty Plus coverage to protect their investment with a pay-over-time model only available through meta.com. Apply today to play now, pay later with 0% APR financing through Affirm, a way to pay over time. Starting at just $24.99 USD per month for a 128GB headset or $34.99 USD per month for the 512GB model over 24 months, if approved you’ll end up spending less than you would if you purchased each item individually.*
I really dislike all that “you’ll pay more for it, but not all at once”-stuff. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.
Although to be fair it is technically “cheaper” if you also buy the warranty and Quest+, neither of which I‘d spend my money on.
I guess no more cars and houses for normal people, then.
There’s exceptions of course, borrowing money to buy a house isn’t same as borrowing money to buy a VR headset, which – lets me honest – everyone can survive without.
I find it much more satisfying to save up the 25 bucks for 20 months and buy it upfront instead of getting it now and robbing my future self of options. Especially since persobal debt seems to be a bit of an issue in general. But by all means, to each their own.
I’ve always wanted to be in debt to Facebook
It’s meta so nobody cares.its probably because the Q3 adoption rate is abysmal
