Do not take your phone to protests/rallies/organized events. Do not turn it off and take it with you thinking it’s okay, they will know when and where you turned it off. Jury is still out if modern phones truly turn off as well. Use a regular camera for taking pictures, take lots of them, get faces, IDs, anything if you can of ICE. Let them start the violence first.

Yeah, know there’s variation even with where I live. Fair enough though, just that it’d be nice to have better job access than I do now. As well as generally better social safety nets. Had a friend be let go from a position in the area and while it took a while, his unemployment was like 80-90% of his income. Here, 40% is the best you get. The states I live in or nearby rely on a revolution of unemployment and employment for many people.

The people around here are so stupid. I talk about moving to MA or another North Eastern state and they’re like “The cost of living is so high there!” Yeah, it might be, but MA has some of the most progressive social safety nets and policies in the USA. The only thing I take grievances with are their restrictive gun laws. Other than that, no, MA looks far better than a shit stain red state I live in.

No, likely a leftist. There’s two people who hate Biden, the MAGAts and leftists. Biden did some good things but so did Trump, broken clock metaphor. Yup, and I was almost one of them. Can take a while to deprogram oneself. It literally took me being exposed to the wide world out of their little microcosim of understanding and rhetoric to see they were putting 2+2=9. Depends on when you consider the corruption of the wealthy came in. The Civil War was fought over slavery and it was because rich land barons in the south didn’t want to have workers they paid anything to. So they also greased government hands to try and keep it. So the rot set in quickly, it just took longer to metastasize.

Dude doesn’t understand the level of brainwashing that has happened in this country for the last 40 years amongst rural and isolated people. Trumplings aren’t seeing the light and dropping the GQP entirely, they’re just disillusioned with it right now. And your unsubstantiated claims of Trumpers learning doesn’t hold water. But it’s not just my anecdotal evidence, its many other’s encounters with these people, of what we see them post online, of them begging but still supporting him when they arrive here. These people will still forever vote because it’s the same mentality of going “My grandaddy worked coal, my daddy worked coal, and I’ll work coal” that a lot of the Applachia states have. It’s generational brain rot.
