The issue here is that there isn’t one. If someone rolled out an update to a dishwasher that broke it and they offered to replace it with something that is not the same size, you would be pretty unhappy with how it fits in your kitchen. If they replace my phone, it will be far too large for me. I accepted the battery swap for this reason. I’m hoping small phones will make a comeback, but I’m skeptical.
I don’t want my phone replaced. I like my phone the way it is. They don’t sell phones this small anymore and my small hands need it. Also it’s fucking garbage that the standard is to get a new phone every 2 years. It’s incredibly wasteful especially when you consider that people don’t just trash their computers after 2 years. My 4A is only 4 years old and going strong! Here’s to hopefully a few more years!

A lot of times, funerals function as a family reunion even if it’s a sad occasion. When my grandpa passed away, not only did my father’s rather large family all come together, but my grandpa’s siblings also flew out from far away. Some of these people I had never met before. For this reason, we planned ahead and made sure to get a venue for dinner to host everyone after the funeral where we could all talk and reminisce and have a good time with people we almost never see. This would be a more appropriate place to take a photo, but some families may not have that option and just want to take the opportunity to get a family photo while they can.
According to both websites I bought from, the shelf life is 2 years.

For anyone that needs this information, you can (currently) order abortion medicine (mifepristone and misoprostol) online in any state. I did it a few days ago and it was stupid easy to do. I’m not pregnant, but I wanted to order some as a just-in-case for myself or others.
The Plan C website has a great list of websites you can order from if you’re not pregnant. It costs about $150 and some offer financial assistance if you need it. But please do it NOW while you still can.
I ordered one from Aid access and one from safe choice. Both asked a few questions that didn’t ask for personal information or ID. They mostly just need an email, address to send it, and a credit/debit card to pay.

Very interesting. The way I see people fucking with AI at the moment, there’s no way someone won’t game an AI doctor to give them whatever they want. But also knowing that UnitedHealthcare was using AI to deny claims, this only legitimizes those denials for them more. Either way, the negatives appear to outweigh the positives at least for me.
If you read the email, they offer a few solutions to you. One is a credit for a new phone and one is a new battery free of charge. I took the battery since I was going to get it swapped anyway. While they replaced the battery, they also cleaned it up and swapped the back piece. It’s not a total refurbish, but it feels like I have a new phone now aside from the fact that Hulu isn’t supported and I can’t use my NFC reader anymore. Old phone problems I guess. No complaints about the battery yet and should stretch the phone life a while longer. Hopefully someone will release a small phone by then 🤷

Malcolm in the middle was always excellent for showing exaggerated examples of realistic family meals. For breakfast the kids are all eating some kind of sugary cereal and maybe some orange juice and dad is running as fast as he can to grab coffee and go burning himself in the process. Or on the occasion they make a nice weekend breakfast, the older boys grab most of the food and there’s almost nothing left for Dewey. If that show could manage to come up with a multitude of family meal scenarios over the course of the show, why can’t people writing movie scripts write one single semi-realistic scene? This trope bugs me just as much as hanging up without concluding the call.
It depends on the laws in the state/county/city. In the worst case scenario, you could serve jail time. In the best case scenario, you stay away from that town and nothing happens. In the medium case scenario, the municipality sends it to collections where you’ll then be harassed and/or dinged on your credit report.

Did people not know this? They sit right next to each other on the shelf. I’ve found that typically when a cheap liquor is very obnoxiously colored, it’s going to be made with food dye, vs a product that’s more expensive will use specific tricks in the industry to get the color right. A good example is Empress Gin. The color comes from pea flowers and will even change color when you add acid. And even though it’s very bright in color, it’s still nowhere near as electric blue as blue curacao.
So is the term “grounded” and I genuinely wonder what parents used to say to their misbehaved children before airplane terminology was commonplace.
