In the 1st photo adding any cable would mean zip tying it down individually.

As someone who has managed racks, that first picture isn’t usable after day 1.

I think 11 is going through some significant structural changes at a faster pace than before, while at the same time the natural greed of capitalism forced MS to get rid of things like large QA teams and support.

If MS were really interested they would begin open sourcing a lot of the things that don’t make them any money (calculator, clock, notepad, UI) and focus on the major items.

Outlook classic is one of the better examples of a legacy app with tons of integration capabilities that should have been overhauled years ago. The way plugins work is probably related to your issues.

Including a bunch of drivers and software adds more to an already large installation. I downloaded the latest iso the other day and it was over 6gb in size.

There honestly might be licensing implications that they are avoiding by not including software and drivers, something open source doesn’t need to worry about too much.

The last Linux install I performed had similar issues with the video card driver.

Keep in mind windows users don’t install their os from scratch. The OEM will include those in their deployment.

I’m not surprised that laptop had issues. It’s purpose built and likely has sub 1% usage across the windows install worldwide.
