I tried two different ones. First dudn’t function (defective unit). 2nd worked but no so great for my cats. Our large male urinates a lot, so the bag needed replacement after about a day and a half. And it was WAY more difficult to clean inside the thing (big drum shaped inside thing) than just a simple catbox was.

Or if most of the population just decides to ignore the constitution. But how likely is that?

Believe this. My cats have been offered at least 20 other types of toys during their 10 years. From cheap or free to stupid expensive. No toys kept their attention for more than a day, except for those plastic springs. They make keep you up at night chasing the things. A down side is that they will lose them, so you’ll have to keep replenishing the supply every 6months or so. And there will be scads of the things under the refrigerator and bathtub.

The HP logo is all it takes to make printers hated at this point. Couldnt give me one even if it included 10yrs of ink.

Seems like this could be turned around if enough people would just consciously refuse to patronize anything they saw advertised on youtube.

In Portland, we have a huge video store called Movie Madness. $3 rent for almost any movie in existence. With an actual museum of Hollywood costumes, models and props around you. And you can sip a draft beer while you browse. It’s always humorous when cable news portrays Portland as being some uncivilized hellhole.

Would be great to have that on Lemmy Sync app, too! After browsing a while, a large proportion of posts start being in languages I dont understand.

Former heavy smoker here, quit two decades ago. It creates a strong craving, which briefly supplies pleasure when you appease it. It provides (or at least used to) social connection with other smokers, particularly at “smoking breaks”.

And it gives you something recognizable to do while waiting for something. Rather than sitting there, staring out with a stupid look on your face, you instead sit there smoking a cigarette.

It’s an incredibly difficult addiction to break, it’s expensive, and these days identifies you as either very old or more or less a loser. Avoid, avoid.
