  • Especially in the US where almost noone leaves a good gap.

If you leave two seconds of following distance, someone will cut it in half. Some asshole in a lifted pickup will pass you on the right and flip you off, no doubt screaming something about left lane campers. I can’t literally drive through the car in front of me. I want to go fast too but there’s a left lane camper there. 🤷

  • In a three lane situation in America, generally the outside lane is for trucks and slower traffic, the middle lane is for cruising, and the inside lane is the passing lane you describe. It is unreasonable to expect a car driving the speed limit in the middle lane to move into the truck lane because someone doesn’t want to use the passing lane to pass slower traffic, which is its purpose. In the picture, moving to the right wouldn’t leave a lot of distance for the car that the car in the middle lane just drove past even if that were the right thing to do.

And none of that empowers anyone to create an unsafe situation for other drivers on the road.

  • In the early 90s in sex ed they told us all, as a group, that men are only looking for sex to get a load off and women are nothing but submissive cum dumpsters except and of course obviously your life partner who you submit to on your wedding night and stay with forever. Literally we were taught this in public school. It’s no wonder people view sex and gender the way you do. Nowadays thankfully we view both sex and gender as individual.

To respond to your original idea, it sounds like a compromise. When you find the right person (and there’s someone for everybody) you won’t have compromise on that core, basic level. That’s what sexual compatibility is.

  • The more successful you are the less you’re exploited.

the harder you’re work means you are rewarded if you choose the right careers

What did you mean by this? Do you think there are jobs that need to be done that do not deserve to be paid a living wage because the person doing it didn’t work hard?

You know what I’m asking and you’re being tedious on purpose. Stop that, talk to me like an adult speaks to another adult.

  • What’s happening right now is happening because people didn’t go out and vote against it

But in American elections generally (and specifically the US presidential election), with very few notable exceptions, there’s no way to vote against a candidate. I wish there were. For example, in Brazil you can “white ballot” or null vote, which people do as a protest. In Colombia this can actually force a redo on the election. But in America we can only vote in favor of one of the options presented or not vote in that race.

  • Do you know where that quote is from, though? It’s from a Trump rally before covid. “You need an ID to buy groceries” is a well known right wing meme. He repeats this lie because it advances the right wing idea that American elections are influenced by left wing radicals and illegal immigrants who fraudulently vote. It’s not based in any kind of truth and never was.

He doesn’t repeat this phrase because he’s an imbecile. (He is an imbecile, but that’s not why he repeats this phrase.) He repeats this phrase because it’s propaganda. It’s got the illusion of truth. “You need an ID to buy groceries” sounds close enough to the truth that people who already agree with the point he’s making won’t question it.

Showing ID is a common and normal.

    therefore

Requiring an ID to vote is not a burden.

Propaganda doesn’t have to be accurate, it just needs to feel relatable. Don’t excuse Trump for saying these things.
