  • Keep working on it until you can coax her into either stepping inside or into an easily enclosable space, then to vet for a chip scan.

Best case scenario is that she belongs to someone who misses their baby girl.

Second best case is no chip or previous owner super-sucks and therefore - you get a new buddy.

We invited an abandoned gray girl in for wet food one day and she never left. Starting on her first night, she’d wake me up in the wee hours giving me tiny kisses on my eyelids, cheeks, forehead, or tip of my nose. We still have her 12 years later and she is the sweetest cat ever. Don’t fuck with her though - she will cut you 🤣

  • I used to be a huge Stephen King junkie, read every novel within a few weeks of each release (started young by reading Salem’s Lot way too young). Then he started getting really repetitive in the mid-90s.

So I was reluctant to bother with 11/22/63 but I picked it up because the premise was totally different for King. And I was blown away - I consider it his best, by far.

I do my absolutely best work a couple of hours before the big project is due.

I might have had a few weeks to do it, but nooooo. I don’t even really get started until the night before.

I do think it’s the added “element of danger” that kicks my brain into overdrive.

The rest of the time, I’m in a quasi-befogged state. Perhaps during that boring time, I’m saving up energy to handle the “danger” before going back into my little trance.

I’ve been weirdly extremely successful once I figured out how to work with this tendency, instead of fighting it.
