Oh that’s what that is. I just assumed it was Linux things happening. lol

Mainly this, alongside a cost of living crisis not unique to Canada. Other concern is there is some animous towards immigrants as poor immigration policy is a part of why housing is where it is. Sadly, I’m not sure I’d feel welcome as an immigrant in Canada right now (perhaps more so for Indian/Pakistani immigrants, but still).
Avoid Canada, or at least Toronto/Vancouver. Country is not in a great state atm.
I certainly hope someone got fired for that blunder
Still stuck on my 3a XL waiting in vain for a headphone jack…
Linux lore is my favourite
I’m actually an engineer at [company name]
Bro it’s petty revenge time. [Company name] needs to see these messages and asked if this is representative of their company values.
I hope the 16 has a headphone jack so that “everyone should steal this revolutionary new feature from apple” as well.
We can teach them about how once-upon-a-time common sense copyright laws got perverted by the mouse so badly.
An easy first step would be making licensing more strict. Where I am there are classes of licence for passenger vehicles, larger transport trucks, busses, and finally semis/lorries. Each step up requires further testing and more stringent requirements.
I feel like it’d go a long way if your typical American pickup was moved up a class. How many people just wouldn’t bother with a big truck if it meant another driving test and visit to the DMV? Any vehicle over X height, X length, X wheelbase, whatever would become a “commercial truck”. Smaller trucks from back when they made small trucks wouldn’t meet the requirements.
Sadly I don’t think a politician running on a policy like that is winning an election anytime soon.
I’ve read a few articles about the rubber from tires being one of the worst aspects of car pollution
I have three, I’m a car enthusiast. I want to enjoy my car without the entirety of society being required to own them to exist.
Even if the dream is achieved and taking my car is more expensive and slower than public transit (which it should be), I’d still drive most of the time because I actually enjoy it. I’d rather not share the road with people that also actually want to be there. It’d be a safer and more pleasant experience.
Pretty sure you can still enable 3 button navigation in settings. I still use it
Produce? Priced per pound (usually). BUT the comparison price is per kg for some reason? Except not always?
Liquid? Per 100ml, except for the one specific thing you want to compare, which is measured per volume of a size 10 sneaker.
Dry goods? Per 100g or kg (or rarely, pounds) with no rhyme or reason as to which they choose.
Toilet paper? Compare “sheet”, which will require a terminal degree in advanced mathematics to calculate (one roll of SUPER PLUSH is equal to 7.2 rolls of MEGA PLUSH, which is 4.875 of double, which is anything except twice as many as).
In Canada, we actually have a big colourful wheel that Chrystia Freeland spins to decide what unit we use when measuring a specific thing.
My banking app worked for me on both Calyx and Grpahene no problem
Now give it a headphone jack and I can finally replace my 3a XL
