It’s a great game if you enjoy building bases and you’re willing to pay for the subscription. The game is significantly worse if you don’t pay for Fallout 1st. If you want more of the dialogue driven RPG, 76 is not the experience for you. There are a lot of great things about the game, but it’s quite different from the other Fallout games. 90% of the time, you are running around collecting junk to build up your CAMP. There are no dialogue choices that impact the story in any meaningful way. There are only a handful of groups of NPC’s and basically no characters are particularly interesting or memorable. The game is completely focused on collecting materials and building CAMPs. The subscription is almost required once you progress far enough in the game. If that is a dealbreaker for you, then I would say you should not go for it.

They also own Banfield. Talk about dystopian.

Ooh this might get me back into 76 again. Camp building is my favorite part of the game. While there were tricks to do things like this, it was not easy at all. Excited to try this out.

I think it’s more about the default UI colors and the color grading of each game. Everything in F3 has a green tint and everything in NV is a shade of yellow or brown. And the default UI colors are green and amber respectively.

I think it’s definitely a remake. They changed a number of things, including gameplay. They called it “remastered” but I think that’s not exactly accurate. All of the assets are brand new.

You can see clips of it in the 20 min reveal on their youtube! Sheogorath’s mouth is a little weird, but everything else looks great.

I was unaware of this douche until just now. I’ve been interested in the Modretro Chromatic for a little while, disappointing to see this guy is tied to it. Glad I haven’t gotten one, thanks for letting people know.
