As clearly demonstrated by the number of downvotes you are receiving, you well-reasoning human.
Whereas most races are content to evolve slowly and carefully over thousands of generations, discarding a prehensile toe here, nervously hazarding another nostril there, the Haggunenons would have done for Charles Darwin what a squadron of Arcturan Stunt Apples would have done for Sir Isaac Newton.

Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto Android@lemdro.id•End of an era: Nova Launcher's parent company lays off practically everyoneEnglish3·11 months agoI loved Nova, but a couple of years ago, I found AIO, and it just blew nova out of the water for me. I look around to see if anything better comes along, but so far, I’ve not seen anything that gets close to AIO for me. It is so customizable, everything on one vertical scrollable screen, email, notifications, calendar, apps, weather. I absolutely love it!
For anyone interested, we have a community about this! !digitalbioacoustics@lemmy.world
I’ve not tried much, but it has worked for me from a normal Gmail address.
Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto And Finally...@feddit.uk•Scientists claim to have successfully ‘conversed’ with a whale6·1 year agoYes! That’s one of cooler new discoveries in the world of animal communication. It’s such an exciting time for bioacoustics with all the recent advancements in AI, I think there’s going to be quite a few big discoveries in the coming years.
Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto And Finally...@feddit.uk•Scientists claim to have successfully ‘conversed’ with a whale6·1 year agoWe’ve got a community specifically on this and other types of bioacoustics.
Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto And Finally...@feddit.uk•Scientists claim to have successfully ‘conversed’ with a whale9·1 year agoThey could do it in theory, but so far as we know, they have never decided to kill someone with their clicks.
I made the account to start a community on animal communication and so I wanted something interesting related to species. Haggunenons is a species from Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy that evolves very rapidly.
Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Have you tried LocalGPT PrivateGPT or other similar alternatives to ChatGPT?English41·1 year agoMixtral is an amazing one that isn’t super slow or require incredible hardware foe a decent speed.
In general this guy has really good videos/tutorials for the latest tools.

Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Scientists Have Reported a Breakthrough In Understanding Whale LanguageEnglish7·2 years agoYeah, exploitation like this is a big concern in the digital bioacoustics community with groups like Earth Species Project.

I dont think its great or anything, a bit of a gimmick. Really, the most decoded animal language is probably prairie dogs, but I’ve not heard of anyone trying to make a translator for it.
Haggunenons@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Scientists Have Reported a Breakthrough In Understanding Whale LanguageEnglish661·2 years agoThis is big news! We’ve got a lemmy community specifically about Digital Bioacoustics (technology and animal communication) for anyone interested.
Killer Whales and humans have a long history of friendship and cooperative hunting. The orcas would lead people to large balleen whales, and the humans would spear them, taking most of the meat, but leaving the lips and tongue as payment to the Orcas.
Yeah, no way to tell anything to an LLM.
