Would have been amazing if they federated with Forgejo and supported federated git like they’re doing with mastodon.
There are two types of hydrogen cars: Fuel Cell EVs and ICE built to run with hydrogen fuel. Both of them are the future of fuel. You won’t see a network of EV charging stations in most south american, african, or Asian countries. The EV revolution is very urban focused. Hydrogen as a fuel that can be transported almost as easily as gasoline is the pragmatic future. EVs are popular because Elon Musk went viral.
Edit: totally aware it’s not successful at the moment: https://www.motor1.com/news/693449/toyota-hydrogen-mirai-not-successful/
I expect with the amount they’re investing in FCEVs that EVs will only last another decade-ish.
I’m using it and it’s pretty good. It’s arguably too feature rich though. I mean that in every right click you have like 20 options. It’s overwhelming.
Also I use the cloud sync and every few days something doesn’t sync properly when you’re typing and it asks you to re-sync. And so you have to wait a minute while it re-builds the entire index. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s annoying.
You should check out Affine.pro then. It’s FOSS and you can draw anywhere, it’s one of their selling points.
Siyuan is probably the most advanced note taking app out there right now. Affine.pro is also a good one Appflowy is also good. All are FOSS.
Interesting fact, it costs tens of thousands of dollars to get a permit to own a car in Singapore.
Just curious what you opinion of Zoho is vs the ones you listed. Do they treat staff better?
Oh the motive is probably because NATO is an organisation that overthrows governments like Libya. They probably wanted to see what NATO was planning on doing in Niger or another country they want to exploit.
Hey I’m curious what the bad things they did were? I just know them to have revealed evidence of heinous war crimes committed by the USA.
https://ulaa.com/ - I do trust Zoho.
There already are Linux standards, its just that there are lots of people developing their own distros. Asking people who are developing in their free time to contribute to a collective solution if they don’t want to is forcing them to do something they don’t want to do in their free time.
Linux will become big in countries that encourage their governments and companies not to use Windows, and eventually there will be a few major players for desktop beyond the big 3 for enterprise (Suse, Ubuntu, Redhat)
Astra Linux in Russia is becoming the mass adopted Linux, the longer the war goes, the more companies that won’t be able to renew Microsoft licenses, the more adoption of Linux will increase.
Deepin Linux (China UOS) gets about 500 posts on it’s forums in Chinese per day. That version of Linux will likely become the dominant desktop OS in China by ~2030 if the USA continues sanctions.
Linux Mint has incrementally been growing a user base and donations every month. 5 years ago they were getting 7,000 euros on average per month, today they get 12,000 euros on average per month.
I’m not worried about Linux Desktop anymore, it’s a permanently established common good even if the majors like Red Hat and Ubuntu fold. And just like Lemmy and Mastodon popped up, at some point in the future Microsoft will do something greedy with Windows and people will flock to a few distros and it’ll all be over then.
Cutthroat is an understatement. He did a lot of illegal stuff in the USA and internationally because governments had no idea how he was exploiting them/breaking commercial law. He also bribed hundreds of governments and stifled innovation. The world would be a better place without him.
Just curious because Distrowatch can be easily gamed; does anyone know how this might affect the linux consumer market? I’m using Mint and see no reason to switch to this. I used to nerd out about different distros but aside from the enterprise distros or Debian or Arch preferences I don’t see why people are using smaller distros anymore. Hobbyist i guess?
