Have you not been paying attention to AI over the last year? It can easily go beyond just translating word for word. This isn’t Google Translate anymore.
And if the launch was trash, contributed nothing to the advancement of space travel, and wasn’t paving the way for new development, your comparison would be good.
But since none of those things are true, your comparison is dumb and meaningless.
I’ve seen a lot of people becoming anti-space just because they don’t like the crappy attitude of one guy in the industry. To that I say:
Fuck you. Fuck you so much you stupid, braindead fucks. You’ll condemn our species to stay on a single planet with your idiocy, and you’ll be clapping and drooling the whole way down.
I don’t give a shit if you hate Musk. He’s out of touch, spoiled, and doesn’t deserve even a quarter of the personal credit he gets. But leave space out of it. Not only do advances in space technology give back more to public than any other industry, it’s damn important work. No matter what happens, this planet has an expiration date, and we NEED to get off it.

I don’t know, I think you’re forgetting the possibility of us all just dying.
The fuck is a distro? Linux bros can’t say a single sentence about how “easy” Linux is without using some terminology that proves it would actually take quite a bit of research for someone unfamiliar to make the switch. People don’t want to do that. They want an OS that works without having to take a mini CS course.
You really don’t seem to understand how big the gap is. The things you think are easy or intuitive are far from it. Most people can’t even figure out how to download something from GitHub, and you think Linux is right for them?
I wish more websites allowed random words as passwords instead of forcing numbers and special characters (but not THAT special character, you have to use one of the ones on this list).
People change their passwords by one letter or digit because they’re tied to these restrictive formats. If 5-6 random words was the norm, people would update more than just one character when needing to change passwords.
“poison navy series ruler handshake papaya” is a fantastic password.
“Ilovemygrandkids!123” is a horrible password.
I always felt like Buddhism was more a philosophy than a religion. It can be used as a religion, but it really boils down to “Life sucks, but you can be happy if you stop thinking about how much life sucks”.
Literally every browser has this feature, it’s not unique to Firefox.
I work in a manufacturing company that was owned by the founder for 50 years until about 4 years ago when he retired. He disagreed with a lot of the ideas behind lean manufacturing so we had like 5 years worth of inventory sitting in our warehouse.
When the new management came in, there was a lot of squawking about inefficiency, how wasteful it was to keep so much raw material on the shelf, and how we absolutely needed to sell it off or get rid of it.
Then a funny little thing happened in 2020.
Suddenly, we were the only company in our industry still churning out product. Other companies were calling us, desperate to buy our products or even just our raw material. We saw MASSIVE growth the next two years and came out of the pandemic better than ever. And it was mostly thanks to the old owners view that “Just In Time” manufacturing was BS.
