I’m getting ready to make my late night flat white with Two Brothers Radiance Decaf. They’re a local roastery I’ve been checking out recently, and I really like them! Aside from the Radiance decaf, I’ve also tried their Brewhouse Dark, which was exquisite, and I have a bag of Morning Drive ready to try soon.

Fountain Pens@lemmy.world•Organics Studio Nitrogen is a really finicky inkEnglish
4·2 months agoNitrogen is the most ill-behaved ink I’ve ever used. I tossed it out when the bottle was still 75% full since I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
- The Smearing: Sweet creeping zombie Jesus does it smear! I haven’t used it in three years, and it still hasn’t completely dried in any of the notebooks I used it in.
- Gets on Everything: I swear to Cthulhu, you get a free Nitrogen Gnome when you purchase this ink. The Gnome’s only job is to make every surface in your home turn blue when you add water to it. Months after I got rid of it, I was still finding places inside of drawers that hardly ever get opened, that when wiped out with water, turned the paper towel blue. It was unreal, how much I kept discovering, and in the weirdest places, too!

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•When you are not employed but need to go to a workshop/conference/public events that require you to lost out your company and title, what do you put on without sounding awkward?
1·4 months agoProbably? But then we’re entering into the land of Effort That Isn’t Fun*. The corpses of too many of my unfinished projects litter its plains.
*For me. I’m not disparaging jigsaws.

3·4 months agoHave you looked into the Pilot Explorer/Lightive? It runs about $20, and has a really nice nib. The Pilot Metropolitan shares the same nib assembly, is a metal pen, but can run a little bit more expensive. If you’re willing to pick one up from Amazon/AliExpress/Etsy, the Hongdian 1851 is less than $20, metal, and a great writing experience. It even comes with a converter, so you’re not stuck with cartridges.

5·4 months agoAdding a vote for Jetpens. I’ve bought some pretty expensive pens from them, and their customer service is stellar.

6·4 months agoLong story short, the Goulets helped start a chapter of a very right-wing, anti-LGBTQ+ church, so you can figure that 10% of everything you spend with them will end up funding hate.

2·4 months agoYou may have just spoken it into existence. It’s a great idea, but it’s been a bit since I looked into circuit boards with custom shapes.

14·4 months agoI put down SparkleChicken Heavy Industries, Chief Engineer. We manufacture motorcycle parts and satellite guidance systems.
The SparkleChicken thing existed long before, but I used SCHI so many times that I designed a logo and bought the domain name. Every time I spin up a circuit board for a personal project, I get the logo silk screened on it. Been pretty fun over the years.
That was the one that got me hooked on SMBC.

Well, shit! Looks like it’s time to try EVi, then.
