JesusTheCarpenter@feddit.ukto Technology@lemmy.world•Google's AI made up a fake cheese fact that wound up in an ad for Google's AI, perfectly highlighting why relying on AI is a bad ideaEnglish199·5 months agoI totally get all the concerns related to AI. However, the bandwagon of: “look it made a mistake, it’s useless!” is a bit silly.
First of all, AI is constantly improving. Remember everyone laughing at AI’s mangled fingers? Well, that has been fixed some time ago. Now pictures of people are pretty much indistinguishable from real ones.
Second, people also make critical mistakes, plenty at that. The question is not whether AI can be absolutely accurate. The question is whether AI can make on average fewer mistakes than human.
I hate the idea of AI replacing everything and everyone. However, pretending that AI will not be eventually faster, better, cheeper and more accurate that most humans is wishful thinking. I honestly think that our only hope is legislation, not the desperate wish that AI will always need human supervision and input to be correct.

JesusTheCarpenter@feddit.ukto Ask UK@feddit.uk•Stag do coming up in Krakow, anything I should know?1·2 years agoI am Polish but I have not lived in Poland for long time. There are some comments of people being scammed etc. which I have no reasons to doubt.
However, on the other hand, UK stag dos in Poland (especially in Krakow) are notorious for being a nuisance for the locals. I feel like as long as you and your mates behave like just a decent bunch lof lads without causing disturbances and issues and are careful of potential scams (which would be easier of course if you are not absolutely wasted and/or drugged) then you should have a great night. Which I hope you do as Kraków is a great city, in fact if you have time to actually walk around and visit it I would strongly recommend it.
Have fun!

I don’t get that, what client are you using?
