I have a sneaking suspicion I already sounded like AI; maybe AI just sounds like me.

Same with em dashes; nested — turducken style — sentences are just how the divergence works.

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•Countries wherein it is normal to find key-required locks from the inside
6·2 months agoIf you are really concerned about getting locked in, you can get euro cylinders with a thumb turn on one side and key on the other.
That is exactly what I would do if it was my door. The prevalence of this dangerous variety is the subject of my mild fury.

18·3 months agoI have so many of these. I mentioned to my boyfriend at the time that I thought they were neat. He swapped out every toonie in the till like this and gave them to me for months while they were in circulation.
I have been giving them out as souvenirs when I visit other countries, but maybe I should actually count how many I have and retire early.
“I’m so sorry for your loss… of your vehicle because your parking expired and your car was towed”.
If this is actually from the real author and not some rage bait meme, this is a surprisingly whiplashing take. I stand in solidly with the second panel.

1·8 months agoNow that you mention it, there was that story about Air Canada’s chatbot misleading a customer which ended up costing them $800. 😔
Edit: I know, legal fees and such, but there didn’t appear to be any punitive component nor incentive to change course.

How? Surely this was put in place as a cost cutting measure. I mean, terminate it, sure. Pay actual humans. I just have questions.

I have not actually tried it. It feels like a waste of a duck. The blandness of the chicken and turkey surely diminish the richness of the duck rather than the duck doing anything to elevate the bland birds.
