I want to see the picture. I’d like to know how hard it is to tell if it’s her husband or a 10 year old.

Have a bottle of cool crisp water with you at all times.
I find that one of these can come in handy if you’re too busy with your hands to drink. You do have to replace the beer cans with water bottles, though.
We had a storm recently that caused power and Internet outages across our city for about a week. Many businesses opened up with no power and just accepted cash while writing down sales with a pen and paper. If you didn’t have cash on you, you were screwed. None of the ATMs worked. Nobody’s credit card machines worked. The banks didn’t have power, so they were closed. Going cashless leaves you in a heap of trouble in an emergency.
I’m probably just overly paranoid, but I don’t trust that Google, in particular, would make the most easily rooted phone (Pixel) without burying something beneath the os that still tracks things.
I’m more excited about something akin to the Fairphone that’s built from the ground up with no relationship to Google.
How do you install an alternate os if the phone isn’t rootable? Everything I’ve tried starts with rooting, and there’s not a way to root my particular phone.
It looks like these are Android phones that have just been rooted and had a different os installed.
That’s not stock.
