Yes, lets blame GenXers, who despite being in their late 40s and 50s, have almost ZERO power because the boomers wont fucking retire already. We’ve been fighting with boomers over climate change (and everything else) since it was called “global warming” back in the 90s. Don’t put this shit on us when the majority of us don’t want this.

1·3 months agoThe way I interpret it, it’s like when Homophobes call each other f***ts. Homphobes hate being called gay slurs. So essentially the same people don’t like being called gay slurs or Liberal.
I’m sure that is often the case. But with this series, Its this specific model. A friend of mine has the Asus M32 from the previous year and he was able to get mint installed without any issues. Just bad luck with the model I bought. It’s always given me headaches so not being able to switch to linux tracks

5·3 months agoAll the people replying to you arguing that you can’t trust the internet because of AI and Algorithims… this too is a skill issue. Stop going to Google or MSN or Yahoo There are search engines that don’t use algorithms or AI, and others that don’t use algorithms and you can turn off the AI.
It also helps to understand WHERE you are getting your information from and use watchdog sites that can tell you if a site is a reputable source or not. Heading over to I’Mright.com isn’t going to help you unless you’re looking for confirmation bias.

18·3 months agoI had people arguing with me about blue blood long after the internet was available to everyone. I wouldn’t ever tell them they were stupid, but I would say, “I don’t think that’s right” and they would usually say they learned it in biology or a science class in high school and I would say, “that still doesn’t sound right. We should look that up later when get home to our computers” and then They would look at me like I was the idiot for suggesting they were misinformed in school… because you know… school teachers NEVER misinform their students… like ever 🙄
Speaking of misinforming your students; shout out to Miss O’Leary for saying Russia could Invade Canada with Tanks because we were landlocked during the colder months via the arctic.

13·3 months agoEven if they get back two thirds of the people who quit while the other third have discovered “other” ways to get their Disney content, that’s still a third of a loss of revenue. A small dent is better than no dent. And whether the website crashed because of all the people quitting or they intentionally crashed it to prevent people from quitting, that means its a significant amount of people, and a third of that is still significant to them.

6·4 months agoThat depends entirely on where you live. In Canada for example, hate speech can get you in trouble. And rightfully so imo/
Hey thanks for the reply. I wasn’t aware of that community. Thanks very much!
Man, I so WISH I could say no to windows. I would install Mint today if I could. It just won’t install. It begins to install and then just hangs for hours and never installs. I’ve tried other distros and they all fail, one way or another. I’m pretty sure (but not positive) it has something to do with my bios settings but no matter what I try, I have no luck.

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•In the end, The Hill lied and Harris was right.
99·7 months agoI have NO idea why the democrats chose Harris as the nominee. The country wouldn’t vote for a white woman last time. You REALLY think they’re going to vote for a woman of colour? REALLY? And then a bunch of them didn’t. As predicted.
Dangerous mindset. Too close to “You’re either with us or you’re against us” There is nothing wrong with being right down the middle and having some right wing ideologies and some left wing ideologies. Lots of people are socially liberal and fiscally conservative. It’s not their fault the political system and zealots who’ve politicized everything have drawn such a deep line in the sand.
Apparently we aren’t allowed to fight fire with fire. eyeroll
You know what? Fuck that. When I deal with meatheads at work (I’m in construction) I use their own language against them to shame them. One example: If they say something is woke just because they don’t like it, I’m calling them a r3tard. Not because I enjoy saying the word, but because I KNOW it’s language that will actually get through to them. " Are you r3tarded?" Is A LOT more effective than “That’s not nice” with people who are like that.
That is a great idea. And since my desktop is old as a dinosaur it still has a cd burner. So I’ll take it as a win LOL
Endeavour-Os sounds appealing. I like easy!
“You voted for this”
Trump literally said that a couple of months after he was inaugurated. It’s like they didn’t believe him when he was literally telling everyone who he is. Second highest votes a president has ever had in U.S. history… fucking idiots.
