I mean, “I’m only happy when it rains” should be the national anthem for Catland.

It’ll make the poor street sweeper’s day a bit easier if nothing else!
The kids are our deciding factor.
If one of us going somewhere with the little 'uns, then the “family car” with the nicer booster seats gets taken by whoever it is that has them. Whoever is getting the peace and quiet, drives the little runabout.
I usually take the little car, and it surprises me sometimes when I jump into the family car and I’ve got another 50bhp under my right foot.
Newport city centre then wheeeyyyyyy
I suspect it’ll probably end up in the same places most other large hazardous industrial sites will be - rural, coastal just off an arterial road route somewhere. See also: Torness, Easington, Milford Haven etc.
That said, Tom Scott did a video (because of course he did) on plans for nuclear testing on UK soil - have a look if you’re interested - and it seems the answer to that was underneath a chunky section of Yorkshire moorland.
I have no idea who this geezer is and I hope it stays that way.
At the risk of sounding dismissive, I lost interest when he threw out the “social experiment” bullshit and his credibility went down the toilet with it.
Good on the dude for losing the beef though. Regardless of who you are, it takes balls and it takes effort.
Do a credit card next!
Reminds me of the mid2000’s era of British journalist Gary Cutlack trying to post every instance of a spiral in the real world, linking it to the upcoming announcement of a Dreamcast 2.
I miss that sort of journalism.
Every sword game - maimed horrifically.
I seem to recall Bushido Blade crudely implemented this in the late 90’s, introducing rudimentary disablements on a Fallout-style limb system that would slow you down if you took a slash to the leg, or render your hand ineffective if you were struck there.
The slow march into middle age is making my memories fuzzy.
That, my friend, is a good thing.
That’s super awesome - both for the fostering, and for paying the cat tax in advance!
I like the idea of getting an adult cat - a bit bigger, a bit wiser, and a bit warmer to the idea of having a bed and a human to call their own.
Man I’d love to be able to do that and give cats a good run-in for their twilight years but I don’t think I could - partly because one of the household is allergic to cats; but mainly I don’t think I could deal with the repeated emotional devastation of having to let them go at a much higher rate than a “normal” pet owner.
Fair play to those that do. Pretty ballsy.
Same as the Unihertz Titan. I ran with that for two years and it was decent, if underpowered.
The dream is all but dead for all fourteen and a half of us QWERTY phone enthusiasts I think. A surprising number went to the Samsung Galaxy Flip models, though having used this for two years or so, I wouldn’t recommend it either.
Maybe one day…
That’s a shame for the family, especially the wife that may well have seen him dead earlier in the evening but thought it was something normal that he was doing.
That said, it’s remarkable that the only person that got hurt by his ability to control vehicle was himself, looking at the list of blunders he had made with other vehicles.
Purely a subjective opinion (and I apologise if the artist shows up in this thread) but is it me or does it look like the person who made the background took a step back after it was done, marvelled at how pretty it was, and enjoyed the moment before thinking “…fuck I forgot about O’Brien”?
It’s a great bit of artwork but poor Miles looks like an afterthought!
I used to love the print Indy. It was a fantastic paper, and the Sunday edition was genuinely a great read in itself with brilliant contributors.
Ever since the print edition ceased (some may point to the launch of i as the turning point but I’m not entirely sure that’s fair) the entire operation has been turned into an ad farm masquerading as a news site.
It’s a cross between a tabloid and the Million Dollar Homepage nowadays, and what a shame that is. At least it keeps browser “close tab” UI devs in business mind.
…d so hard, and got so faaaaaarrrrr
It’s time for Prospero to finally shine, nearly 30 years later!
Perhaps - I wonder if it’s that or the opposite, where her endless string of poor decisions end up being the story rather than about her.
I suppose “subjectively attractive person gets through life without many major dramas” doesn’t make for good headlines.
(I posted this initially in another community, not realising it was just a bot posting)
Why is Katie Price still a thing?
As far as I can remember, she got famous for nothing other than having large breasts.
Beyond that, the last 20 years seem to have been constant attempts to stay relevant with perfumes, books, reality TVs show apprarances, and an inability to understand how basic road safety works.
Why is she still popular, I wonder?
I don’t get it. I mean I get it because it’s Ninty, but I don’t get why now?
Has there been something in a major new feature update that has finally tipped the scales into clearly taking the piss, or have the legal team at Big N finally seen their erections subside after the game’s launch and only now can move enough to do something about it?
