Was this taken from the Crowdstrike repo?

Was this something called ceefax or teletext? I vaguely remember hearing of someone using it to book a holiday when I was growing up
Do Sovcit people think that they can just go through life paying for nothing??
I know they have this “secret bank account” idea that they government or something has x millions of $ or something. But it just sounds like they all think they can coast by not paying for anything and people should just accept this?
I understand there is no logic behind it, I’m just constantly baffled that people can think this way and also have the energy to constantly act in such a way.
This sounds very similar to the NewPipe app which I use for watching YT. Maybe check out their Github for some inspiration?
So true, this really highlights the risk of updates impacting critical systems vs critical systems being exposed to critical vulnerabilities. Its a real balancing act.
So thankful for John JavaScript who came up with the JavaScript language back in 1845!
Just reading the intro pulls you in
We draw a distinction between two sorts of bullshit, which we call ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ bullshit
I didn’t realise until just yesterday that, Boston Dynamics is owned by Hyundai. Its not super weird but it is unexpected.
I’m trying to learn rust and so far this has definitely made it so much more accessible.
Not to mention their super useful “rustlings” training which has these nice little challenges to get you used to language and syntax
It could be a number of things that people have mentioned in here.
Just allow yourself to do what you actually want to do. If you feel like you actually want to watch movies or TV shows then you need to consciously stop picking up your phone.
At the same time, if you only want to watch a movie or TV show because its what you “think” is expected of a “normal” person, stop. Just let yourself lay on the couch/bed and scroll.
We place too many expectations on ourselves these days to be doing certain things, instead of just doing the things we actually want.
Given the times I’ve seen news articles and screenshots of poorly vetted published journals. Surely a free open source publisher managed by the academic community can’t be much worse? I also don’t know shit about the requirements to actually publish so this is probably a naive take
I remember learning about this in the early 00’s but then the textbooks were saying about this newer memory technology which the world has moved to known as DDR! Makes me feel so old now 👵
How are acts such as this not treated the same as though one person had decided to do this to 5 people? What’s the point of a CEO or Director if not to step in at times like this and do the right thing? And if they don’t, they face the consequences.
I understand its all legal BS that negates the responsibility, but it just doesn’t seem logical regardless of how its framed.
You wanna talk Chinese spyware, why are they not outright banning Temu? That’s a much better documented case of actually being spyware.
In terms of Tiktok being spyware, they are tracking users in much the same ways that every other big social media company is. Should other nations be worried about Facebook sharing that data with the US govt to produce psyops campaigns against foreign nations?
I’m against any country blocking access to things in the name of “national security” and providing little to no evidence on it. Its been done too many times to trojan horse in other malicious activities that governments want to do.
That last sentence 🤮

I’ve been using Pop for years, I just feel like its always worked so well for me and never given me any major gripes. Web browsing, playing a few basic games, editing documents and even recently setting up another home server with it for media streaming with Jellyfin.
I’m a big advocate for any OS which works well out the box and is mostly hands off once configured!
If PopOS isn’t your thing you’ll find it eventually 🙂
