I saw a bonfire with a calculated pallet cost of $100k. That’s something. Fireworks are a big part of the bonfire celebration and put pollutants into the lower atmosphere. The example I gave is more firecrackers being used at street-level.

I was pointing out that fireworks were being used in a way that lowers the local air pollution for residents, for days, not just the evening. You can say ‘barely registered’ but I’ve shown you a clear case of it very much registering in terms of effects on local populous.

Inner-city long-term effects, right there.
Mate, if you don’t actually know then don’t just make stuff up. Virtually everything you wrote is wrong. (Except if you live in a 3rd world country like america). Massive levels of recycling in Europe. The process is also about reducing waste going to landfill, as well as reducing the need for raw materials.
Part of the purpose of any media is to illicit a reaction. In print media especially news, the “art” of writing has been distilled down to this because it is a easy way to garner views which in turn drives advertising/product sales. It’s been shown that even negative publicity drives engagement without long-term consequences.
With content-engagement algorithms our monkey-brain doesn’t stand much of a chance. Multiple of your favourite interests dispensing serotonin shots minute after minute. With the scroll confirmation giving basic feedback, let’s not even get into the camera. I’ll put money on pro versions not needing scrolling soon enough. Then doom scrolling will just become…
Booze? Or blood? Other ppl have weird tastes man.
They also had power users who dominated post and drove the control of conversation. (MrBabyMan?)
I can see this being used against ex-employees.
Interesting development that I didn’t realise they had. 4 trillion operations per second at 2watts.
Battery-powered silent leaf blowers. We really are in the future.

Ok so ten years then. In that time nearly all average family cars will be smart. They will have self-driving (they can come pick you up). Will have a few years of insurance claims and premiums showing they are not responsible for 99% of crashes and insurance will react accordingly pushing up the insurance of the last holdouts so far that it becomes uneconomical for the average person to drive “manual”.
What is your definition of immediate to begin with, 1year to 10years?
I was interested in an Amstrad HiFi for retro reasons and tumbled down the rabbit hole. Alan Sugar conned an entire country.

Not with that attitude it’s doesn’t.
Heya, saw this and thought of our conversation.
