My permaban came from a post about DOGE. They deleted the comment, permabanned me, and wouldn’t let me see what I even commented. They said it was “encouraging violence” but hell no, I was making sure not to say anything like that. Wonder if I just insulted Elon and reddit decided to finally get rid of me.

Honestly, all I’ve ever really known was reddit. In 2011, I remember the cheezburger site having funny memes and seeing “reddit” mentioned a lot. Checked it out and liked it. Magical time back then. Chuck Testa, Tom Cruse, Rampart. sigh

Oh well, it sucks ass now and so far I’m enjoying Lemmy. Will check out the new Digg though, just to support and help reddit die.

Same here! This is actually my first lemmy comment! 14 years on reddit and got permabanned for saying I purchased a gun “in case the nazis come for me”.
