OK it’s more a Reddit thing it appears and the RRs (Reddit Refugees) need to maintain a comfort level and familiarity, that’s fine. But never good in life to use terms that may not be understood by your audience, and definitely not good to assume that everyone understands those terms and belittle or be condescending if someone doesn’t understand.

OK I always hated Reddit, never really used it much… Only a couple subs for apps I use, mainly to get updates from the Dev, and help a few dummies sometimes. I’ve been much more active here on Lemmy and haven’t noticed that.

Same here, been active on Discord and Telegram, and a small amount of Reddit, I don’t use the cancers called FB, X(Twitter), Tik Tok, or Instagram, and I’d never seen ITT till just now… Maybe it’s used on that crap social media I listed. I haven’t seen it used here on Lemmy either.

All my long life I’ve never had a “house” cat, dating back to what we thought was our family cat "Whiskers "when I was a kid. We lived in a small apartment complex, whiskers was independent, would disappear for a couple days, reappear… All was good we understood him. Till one day he was on the stairs outside between our level and the neighbors who lived below us… We were calling him “come whiskers” … The girls downstairs our neighbors were calling him too “hey ’ puss puss’”. An argument ensued he’s our cat, he’s puss puss,. No he’s our cat whiskers… He just froze on the steps for a few seconds… Like damn I’m busted… Then ran off 😂😂😂

I did my own poll and the 3 most important people to me all use Sync, me, myself and I lol. I have no problem with other people using what they want for whatever reason they want, and won’t knock anybody. But for we three, we used them all and we like Sync best.

But isn’t almost everybody here people who left reddit, or even still use both? Or was there some invisible populace that didn’t use Reddit at all and suddenly decided to be active on Lemmy?
