I agree with the article. Why cater games towards a crowd that doesnt want the game. Just stop it. Fuck EA and fuck companies like Activision/blizzard for dumbing down RPGs so Normie’s might like them. But then I remember I don’t give a shit about soulless mega corporations that only exist to please shareholders. The thing is… What alternatives are there? Signal can’t be trusted (on the very same website there is an article about it). I’m not using closed source alternatives, Simplex is kinda shady too tbh and I’m not even sure I could get anyone to use it.

I don’t like Matrix/Element either but sadly its the best open source chat solution we have.

A lot of manufacturers cheap out on the implementation, especially the budget brands from Lidl and Aldi which sometimes leads to the cap not being able to stay on anymore (the milk cartons are especially notorious, they literally break off by just opening them).

So I do get why people get annoyed by it. I also understand that helping the environment is more important so I’m not throwing a hissyfit about it and just tear em off out of spite (I leave them on). But people are still allowed to be annoyed and have an opinion about it.
