I was on a 7-hr bus trip starting from 2:00 am until 9:00 am. A fucking cumsock sitting in front of me kept browsing Indian tiktok loud as shit for more than 30 mins and no one was saying anything. I tried to sleep and just let him be, but I couldn’t because it was loud as shit. I then tried to play similar bullshit on my phone loud as shit next to him to tip him off to how awful it is if someone else did that but still nothing and he was giggling watching tiktok on max volume. I had to tap him on the shoulder, and ask him “Do you have a headphone dude? a headphone? or shut that thing off. Thank you.” then he said ok, and that was the end of story.
Still I could not believe the level of obviously for a grown man to do this to everyone around. I thought he was mentally challenged at first but no, he was a grownup sober functional cumsock in his 30s. I still wish the bus driver just shot him twice and everyone pissed on him but that’s not how it works in real life

Stop intimidating folks who just a computer that does work for them with “learn” linux as if linux is a programming language. Many linux distros are super user friendly and work exactly like windows UI.

Beside, why do you think iPhones, as dumb and as bloated and as restricted and limited and overpriced they are, still are the most selling phones worldwide year after year? It’s because my 80 yr old mom knows how to use it.

Most people and professionals in the world just want a machine to do their work and are not intrested in learning progamming or command lines to do it. Nurses, doctors and surgeons, non-computer engineers, artists, business managers, …etc, are too busy and occupied to even change the defaut settings or uninstall anything that comes with windows not because they love it but becuse not intrested and don’t care. Add to those groups most, actually all, girls I’ve ever met in my life. They have different hobbies and learning OSes is not of them. It’s like a girl saying “Soon Sephora will discontinue their HilightBrushExfoilioter and everyone who wants to wash their face needs to learn Mac’s DeepBeauty routines”. while dudes are like we know soaps but wtf is an exfoilating routine. Literally, they don’t know what linux is, and it’s not going to sell to tell them to learn.

So tl;dr: I’m saying the thing that sells would be Pop OS or Mint, or anything that requires the least or none learning curve.

I just bought an expensive c-type ($18) which said superfast on its packing only to found out now its charging speed is super slow: more than 3 hrs to charge my phone while another c-type I have does it in less than 1.5 hrs.

We want lighter and faster browsers that load up less features, block all unnecessary data collection and spying and java scripts, consume less hardware resources, and don’t choke and heat up 8-gb ram laptops just because I openned 1 tab.

I don’t want Siri in my internet. I don’t even like it when it automatically searches and returns suggetions for mere typing anything in address bar. If I wanted a chatbot, I know how to visit chatgpt or any site myself.

this happens with so many scripts I’ve tried to debug with strace because strace requires to run as root or sudo which elevates the niceness of process which prevents certain errors from occuring when the script is run with root permissions and so it runs flawlessly without bugs and you sit wondering wtf

Yee. No root required, neither recommended for samsung devices. In short just enable developer mode from phone settings, then debug it with adb platform to uninstall and disable any system app, and can also change lines, colors, phone behaviors, properties and look, install and uninstall apps which you could not before…and so many things.

I don’t know about the AI stuff specifically. Check your battery usage to see which process is doing that. but yes debloating in general makes your phone battery longer, and with the help of few more tricks also faster. There are thousands of no-root-required debloating tutorials online.

I literally uninstalled and disabled every AI process and app in that latest galaxy AI update, which was the whole update btw. my reasons are:

1- privacy and data sharing.

2- the battery, cpu, ram of AI bloatware running in the background 247.

3- it was chaging and doing things which I didn’t want especially in the galary photo albums and camera AI modes.
