I tried to like CC but…
- The art direction sucks compared to CT
- The early 3D graphics sucks compared to CT with the best of 16-bit graphics
- The battle system is different for no apparent reason
I tried to like CC but…

Most important part of the thread:
In it’s beta stage, Orbit is currently not open-source. This doesn’t mean it will remain this way forever. If orbit gains traction and we have the resources and funding to support an Open-Source project, I’m sure things could change.

I wish there were better alternatives. For now I use Lemmy only for specific communities.
My other option is to completely quit Lemmy.
In her dream:
The lemmy.cafe instance is defederated from lemmy.ml and hexbear. If you use a lemmy.cafe account, you won’t see any post/comment/communities from users of those instances.
For me, this works better than having to block users one by one. Lemmy is only tolerable to me because of this option.
They need more trust, not features.
I want one but it’s way too expensive.

Warning on the box:
Not suitable for households with pets or young kids.
Is there any viable alternatives?
Voyager is extremely polished. It is AAA but without any enshittification.
I use Voyager on both my phone and on the desktop.
Meta apps are some of the worst spyware. When I occasionally need to use Facebook, I use the web interface only, so I don’t need to install the apps.
I want to have air quality sensors on the phone or watch.
