The mechanical hardware build is no problem, building a controller and firmware is a different matter. This legislation is all about the firmware.

I have some experience with 3d printing equipment but I’m not sure I could build a controller from the ground up. To be fair, I’ve never really looked into it so maybe it’s easier than it seems.

I believe that the plaintiff must self represent, but the defendant has the option of legal representation. I’m not a lawyer though and it’s been a long time since I had a small claims case, so I might be wrong.

If your Meshtastic device is transmitting in the ham bands (some do) encryption is illegal. Most people use Meshtastic outside the ham bands though.
