  • They will, but you have to follow some protocols, like not having beard where the masks is supposed to seal around your face, not using it more than ~3 times (iirc), not trying to clean it (just let it rest for some days on a clean surface) and etc.

    Basically always seal testing.

Also, iirc the N stands for not oil resistant, so any oil staining ruins it. I’d guess that includes sneezing on it.

  • True, it is a bit wonky indeed when opening some chonky pdf files… I guess I just got familiar with the layout bc I was already accustomed with it on a jailbroken kindle.

Once you get the bells & whistles down, you can pretty much read anything cozily on any screen/orientation. Still, more of an e-reader app than a PDF viewer.

Anyway, thanks for the guide! Lots of apps I didn’t know about and I’ll be sure to try them all out :)

I get what you are saying, it is unintuitive that you can call a water molecule water. Because water, when found in nature, is always a mixture, right? Needs more than a single substance to be a mixture.

Entertain this, though: a group with a single element is still a group.

Wouldn’t you say a pure water substance can be reduced to a single water molecule? It still is pure water substance.

I don’t think a black hole would have time to form before the entire universal collapse, though

that’s infinite mass inside infinite volume right there, we aren’t talking about only infinite density anymore

we need to get a theoretical physicist on this… track

Yeah, we actually have two natural sets here.

Doesn’t matter how far appart each person is placed when we are dealing in infinities. We still can map each one on each set without missing any. The cardinality is the same between them.

A representation of the real set would imply infinite superposition of people on the track line… Which means they are already dead lmao

I’d argue such an event would not only kill them but actually delete everything in that universe.

This is all a convoluted way of saying we are already dead in this scenario.

edit: correct integer to natural on first paragraph

edit2: lmao I’m not the first

  • Around last year or the year before that they changed the placement of that button, never really given much thought about it tbf. Just a minor annoyance.

But yeah it was like in the same top row as the code/issues/pull-requests/wiki pages. Now you can only access it from the code page inside a lateral panel. Before that you could just jump to the releases from the wiki page, as an example.

  • I mean, you might cover some vulnerabilities that were discovered after the manufacturer stopped updating your device, which is nice. But only time will tell what new vulnerabilies will be uncovered next; but be sure, they will.

Only a frequently updated device will have constant state-of-the-art vulnerability protection. That is, until the maintaner (someone with the know-how to make stable lineage-os builds and mess with the device’s vendor tree doing all this work for free) decides to stop updating that device. Which sounds bad but that doesn’t stop another maintainer from rising up to the task eventually.

Anyhow, with lineage and, generally, any custom OS aimed at phones that can’t relock their bootloader safely you’ll always lose device integrity (can be circumvented with things like magisk) and very likely IMS features (VoLTE and the like).

Another thing to consider is if your device ends up in the hands of a malicious party. If its bootloader is unlocked, you can be sure they’ll have easy access to any personal data inside it.

If you wanna be safe for a looong time I’d consider a pixel phone from this list and flashing grapheneos and then relocking the bootloader.

In any case, good luck and all the best to you! :)

Sidenote: if you are on a Linux system and do intend to flash a custom recovery (necessary step before flashing a custom OS) on a samsung phone, take a look at the Heimdall tool. It’s an open source alternative to Odin that runs natively on Linux.
