Actually, while regular bread makers do work, the zojirushi models, when tested head to head with cheaper models, come out ahead every time.

Rice in the instant pot is fine, but it’s a bit more hands on. The rice cooker makes it perfect automatically every time after you put the ingredient in and just press a button. You can also keep the rice warm the entire day so you can make some for breakfast and just use it throughout the day, hot and ready to eat! The convenience of not needing to babysit the rice, put leftovers away right after making it, no chance of burning the rice, every individual grain cooked perfectly etc. It’s worth it. When you have equipment that makes something, normally mediocre, exceptional every time you end up eating it way more often.
Edit: I realize the instant pot has a keep warm function too, but I often make something in my instant pot to go with the rice so it’s better to have a rice cooker for that reason as well.
Continued from OP:
10: Dehydrating anything (air fryer).
Air fryers are dehydrators too! Dehydrate fruit, or make fruit leather. Or dehydrate mini marshmallows to mix with Cheerios for homemade lucky charms!
Make a balsamic reduction.
No doubt you can even easily make your own beef jerky even. I definitely need to try that. So many possibilities.

So there you have it. 10 major things that you can do with these 5 appliances!
Yes, but not all those chargers are high quality. I ordered a charger from a brand I never heard of because it had the features I wanted, but it ended up having a seriously noticeable whine when charging anything so I’m returning it today.
Got to research quality brands. As far as I know the best 3rd party brands for charging are Anker, ESR, and Baseus. Have several of each of their products and love them all.
I’ve heard of that. I’m saddened by it and have expanded who I buy my chargers from but I haven’t outright stopped buying from Anker because they just make such high quality chargers with great warranties and customer service. I’ve used them for over a decade and have never had one of their chargers damage a device.
I kinda feel like there’s almost no company without a morally questionable part of them somewhere. Which is very depressing. Even LTT themselves are having a scandal right now.
Our electronics are built with slave labor in all but name in 3rd world countries.
I don’t like buying from Anker after that came out, and it did reduce how much I buy from them overall, but I still do sometimes. It is what it is.
Do the easiest part first to prove it can be done successfully. It’s the pilot basically.
My laptop upgraded to Windows 11. It broke the headphone jack and built in speakers. The computer just doesn’t detect them anymore. O_o
I vacillate between feeling good about myself vs not feeling good enough. I think that’s just life for the most part, but it’s hard not to feel inadequate despite everything.
Why do I feel good?
Why do I feel bad?
Getting that new phone is a great upgrade for a great price so I’m doing it, but I still feel it’s a waste of money in a way because my old phone works fine for the most part and it is stressing.
Eating out stresses me because I know it’s more food than I should eat, for more money than it would cost me to make equally good food (usually) at healthier portion sizes.
This also extends to a fear of getting a girlfriend because they’ll “expect” me to spend lots of money on them, which I just do not feel comfortable thinking about. Although if I like a woman, and she doesn’t seem to expect me to spend money on her, then I WANT to spend money on her ironically.
The economy always scares me. Going bankrupt from medical bills terrifies me. Rent prices increasing, while my income generally remains the same, scares me. But at the same time I should be able to command a larger income with my upcoming degree and new sales award, so I know I’ll most likely be okay.
Being poor in retirement scares me, I don’t want to work at Walmart when I’m 80.
At times I feel like, what’s the point? But I know I’ll only feel worse if I let depression actually take hold, I’m in a good place and I’m always improving. So I try to stretch myself and relax about many of these things. Life is good! There’s so much to feel good about, and there’s always reasons to feel sad but that’s life! The world isn’t perfect, and never has been. All we can do is our best, working towards a better future for ourselves and dealing with troubles when they happen. Living in fear of the future, ruins our present. Whatever happens, happens. That’s what makes life so interesting, the unexpected.
Stay positive my fellow lemmings!
WTF? 25gbps? Dang we really do have shitty internet in the States.
'Murica #1!!! (In high internet prices)
You’re right! To the human eye Pluto looks like this => •
Sure. If you want to spend more time making rice that has a high chance of burning or being overcooked or undercooked, and that you’ll have to put leftovers in the fridge right away, and that you have to remember to turn off when it’s finished etc. Then yeah, a pot and lid works fine. To me, the time savings and the improved quality of the rice together make the premium rice cookers more than worth the investment. Every grain is perfect, not undercooked and crunchy or overcooked and soggy. No burned rice. Just set it and forget it and have perfectly cooked fluffy warm rice ready to eat all day long.
When rice actually tastes incredible every time, you tend to eat it more often. I know I make way more rice now than I did before I got mine.
