I’m running Arch on a Macbook Air with 2GB of RAM. Its limited, but it does what I want it to.
Insanely, its a 2008 Macbook Air. 2GB of RAM. It has no right to still be functioning.
My 2008 laptop runs Arch quite happily, interestingly enough (arch btw)


Ubuntu for the main pc and Arch for the filthy weird frankenstein laptop from 2008. Just as god intended.


Ubuntu is definitely the best entry-level user-friendly Linux distro to start with, the latest installation process is so simple.
You won’t regret it. When I switched, I realised just how much it felt like I was just renting my OS from Windows.
