I don’t use anything Google at all anymore, with the exception of YouTube videos (via non-Google apps like PipePipe). That and my phone being a Pixel - running GrapheneOS, no GooglePlay Services running ever. If an app doesnt work without them I simply don’t use it, and just use the web browser. Email, photos, GPS, calendars etc all have viable replacement options.

It feels free and great. I never look back.

Unfortunately any unencrypted file sharing, or really any unencrypted internet usage at all, carries some risk of ISPs or governments snooping on what you are doing. BitTorrent is just particularly notable because of its history and that by the nature of the protocol, you are uploading (seeding) in addition to downloading.

A good VPN is a few bucks a month and provides a lot of other benefits. It’s worth considering.

I know, it’s picky lol. I’m still considering it as the replacement for my discord groups (also checking out Element/Matrix). Not sure how to automate the partial album part. You might have an easier time just letting lidarr snatch the full albums and then culling tracks afterwards. You can connect slskd directly in lidarr with a plugin if that helps.

Spotify list import is broken right now, so you have to wait until they get around to fixing it. It’s a big hurdle for migrating to lidarr. You can import lists from some other places like listenbrainz and last.fm, so you might be able to accomplish something through those.

I find that using AI in this way leads to never learning how to do these things, and remaining entirely dependent on the AI for even basic tasks.

+1 for this as I encounter it regularly. I would also just prefer no refresh so I can keep my place in the feed, that would be more important than ensuring the feed immediately reflects the block.

I wouldn’t say im stick of it, but it can be a lot of work. It can be frustrating at times, but also rewarding. Sometimes I have to stop working on it for a while when I get stuck.

In any case, I like it a lot better than being Google’s bitch.
