But snaps do have shared dependencies to a degree. Also, do you use gentoo?

I disagree. Native packages are still a bit more hassle-free, but snaps have gotten really good by now. And you can do some things that debs can’t, like setting up an entire nextcloud installation with a four-words-long terminal command.
also get a dumb tv ofc
edit: despite what people will say, ubuntu is still a rock solid distro. Alternatively, tumbleweed is brilliant too.
I’m sure it’s not literally all of them, and it’s almost never preinstalled. But available in the repositories.
Ubuntu has zero telemetry if you flick the switch they show you right after installation. And steam is proprietary software, yet basically every distro ships it in their repos. Your points make no sense.
I feel like it’s more important than ever to call out creators that still produce high quality content. So, if you care about gaming / PC parts as a whole, give gamers nexus a shot.
this is insane uplift for an OS-update. the fact that it also boosts Ryzen 7000 and barely affects intel makes this even more interesting
I see, they don’t state anywhere that the results of the screenshot analysis are never transmitted to them.
Good, but as pointed out by another user, you might need to reconfigure grub after deleting the windows partition. Or save your files on an external media and reinstall debian over the entire disk if you don’t want to mess around.

No internet or cloud connections are required or used to save and analyze snapshots. Your snapshots aren’t sent to Microsoft. Recall AI processing occurs locally, and your snapshots are securely stored on your local device only.
That’s better than I thought. For the moment.
It can, but that’s not what I meant. When booting linux, do you see the blue windows menu where you can decide between debian and windows or does linux just start? If it just starts, you can just delete the windows partition (make sure to check that all important data has been copied to linux or you will loose it!). If unsure which partition it is, it’s the one with ntfs as the file system.
You could use GUI partitioning tools to just remove the windows partition and expand your debian installation. Did you install an extra bootloader for linux?
Did they make hard commitments to 100% keep the data local and never use it to spy on you? What does their privacy policy say? Come on dude, we’re talking about microsoft. You’re more likely to receive millions from a nigerian prince than to get some privacy from them.
Is it that bad? I run gnome on two 4k monitors with 100% scaling and large text and it’s great
I recently got into eso again. Some of the lore can be a bit questionable, but it’s a fun game with some nice lore bits. I’m also glad that TES VI has not been released yet, I only recently finished my formal education and that game might have interfered.
You could do anal and read up on laws, just maybe not at once
I always worder if these sums include the fee of the lawyer. Would really be a much smaller payout if true.
They hope to incentivise customers to use intel foundries by splitting them off. Intel compete with AMD and nvidia in many segments, so neither of these companies would want to manufacture their products at intel. But turning their foundries into a separate company could maybe change that (probably not). Their foundries also bleed money like crazy, separating them could stabilize share prices for the ‘main’ intel brand.
